Restaurateur Danny Meyer to Shake It Up at CTAM in New York
(National Harbor, MD - Sept. 19, 2011) Today the Cable &
Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) announced the addition Danny
Meyer, CEO, Union Square Hospitality Group, to its stellar list of visionaries
already booked for CTAM in New York (formerly the CTAM Summit).
“Foodies will rejoice; customer experience mavens will be intrigued when Danny
Meyer speaks at CTAM in New York on Thursday, October 6 at 9 a.m.,” said Char
Beales, president and CEO, CTAM. “In a business where 80 percent of New York
City restaurants fail, Danny Meyer cooks up success. He’s competitive,
brand-focused, sweats the small stuff, and most of all he is hospitable.”
The noted restaurateur is founder of Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern, Eleven
Madison Park, Shake Shack, Maialino and more and they all have one thing in
common: hospitality. In his book “Setting the Table: THE TRANSFORMING POWER OF
HOSPITALITY IN BUSINESS: Meyer puts his emphasis on people, suggesting that how
a business makes customers feel when they use the products and services is what
sets the business apart.
